WA Women’s Hall of Fame Celebrates Women From Our Past - City to Country
Discover the WA Women’s Hall of Fame ‘Roll of Honour’ and the inspiring women who have been acknowledged posthumously including 2025 Inductee, Professor Barbara York Main OAM (1929 – 2019), known internationally as the Spider Lady. Dr Leanda Mason will share the journey of this world-renowned expert on trapdoor spiders and other arachnids.
Robyn Sermon, CEO of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA will speak about 2026 inductee Shirley Thorn AM JP (1935 – 2025),who made a significant and unheralded contribution to grain industry development and agricultural community life in Western Australia over seven decades, including as Councillor with the RASWA for 18-years.
